The NASCAR Cup Series heads to the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway this weekend, but they'll take their turns on the road course layout. The BetMGM bonus code TOPACTION is an excellent signup offer if you want to wager on the Verizon 200 at the Brickyard.

New customers can claim up to $1,000 in bonus bets following their first wager at BetMGM Sportsbook. The bonus bets only appear in your account if your first bet of up to $1,000 is lost. BetMGM refunds you the same amount as your losing bet, so you must make a $1,000 wager to earn the full offer.

NASCAR Cup Series racing at Indy begins at 2:30 p.m. ET on NBC, but it's not the only sporting event on Sunday. New users can use the BetMGM bonus code on any sporting event on the website. This offer isn't available in New York or Washington D.C.

BetMGM Bonus Code: NASCAR Racing at Indy

The NASCAR Cup Series returns to the Indianapolis Road Course for the third straight year. This will be the fourth road course race of 2023, and it's no surprise that the three previous winners, Martin Truex Jr. (+550), Tyler Reddick (+550), and Shane Van Gisbergen (+850), are among the favorites.

One of the more intriguing storylines for this race will be Chase Elliott's playoff hopes. Elliott is essentially in a must-win scenario after a wreck left him with a bad finish last weekend at Michigan. Elliott has seven career road course wins in the Cup Series but none since 2021.

Elliott has been competitive in his last 11 road course races, including seven top-five finishes. He enters Sunday's race with +800 odds, but it doesn't seem like he's competing at his peak. Nick Giffen is fading Elliott this weekend in his Indy RC driver matchup bet.

Meanwhile, Joe Gibbs Racing has the top two drivers in the points standings and three of the top four. The only one who isn't inside the top four in the standings is rookie Ty Gibbs, who just snuck inside the playoff cut line this past weekend and who grabbed a career-best fifth-place finish at Pocono three weeks ago.

That's part of why I'm backing Christopher Bell over Chase Elliott at even money at Caesars Sportsbook.

Yes, Elliott is a road course ace, but the speed has not been there this year at this track type.

At Sonoma, Elliott was 10th in green flag speed, and 11th in FLAGS. Bell was slightly better, coming in ninth and 10th respectively in those metrics.

At Chicago, Elliott was 19th in green flag speed and was just 14th in most laps spent inside the top 15.

Bell, meanwhile, was fourth in green flag speed and led a race-high 37 laps.

Right now the edge in performance is with Bell overall – and at road courses.

The Bet: Christopher Bell over Chase Elliott (+100 at Caesars) | Bet to: -110

Christopher Bell is further down the odds list (+1200) but has a pair of road course wins in his career. Bell did lead the most laps at the Chicago Street Course and likely would've been a contender if not for a late-race crash. Now, we're counting on him to finish ahead of Elliott.

The +100 odds for this prop are great for a bonus bet because we always want to target a plus-money prop. It's important to note that you never keep your betting stake when using a bonus bet. A plus-money prop is the only way to win your money back.

Let's say we have a $100 bonus bet to use on Bell finishing ahead of Elliott. A winning bet gives us $100, but a losing bet results in nothing.

Signing Up at BetMGM

BetMGM has a few things you should know before you get started.

  1. You must be 21+ years old to register and bet.
  2. You must be located in a BetMGM state when placing your first wager. You don’t have to live in Ohio to wager; you have to be in the state at the time of activation and making a bet. Check out our travel betting guide for more details. You can withdraw money once you’ve already left the state (so if you were in Ohio on Monday and bet on the Super Bowl, you could withdraw in your home state next Monday).
  3. You must have access to a valid deposit method. Credit cards, bank account transfers, and PayPal are the most popular, though some credit cards will flag gambling and not allow you to deposit.
